The Office of Institutional Research (OIR) facilitates the collection, analysis and interpretation of institutional data that supports institutional management, assessment, planning and decision making.

Facilitating Survey Research Process
If you are affiliated with GSU and are not seeking assistance in a student dissertation, our team can help facilitate your survey process in the following areas:
- Developing questions
- Creating questionnaires
- Launching surveys (through online and/or paper administration)
- Collecting data
- Providing summarized reports
- Developing visualized data reports & findings
- Additional Survey Analysis (upon request)

How can I safely share FERPA-protected data?
We recommend using GSU's sendafile, which sends emails to recipients with encrypted data.
If you would prefer to conduct survey research outside of our team, we recommend the following:
Qualtrics
GSU students, faculty, and staff have free access to Qualtrics, which is managed independently from our office by GSU's Technology Services.
Other Surveying Tools
If you would prefer to use a different surveying tool, we recommend Survey Monkey and Google Forms.
