Biography

John S. Duffield, Ph.D, is Professor of Political Science and the Director of Academic Assessment.  He received his Ph.D. in public and international affairs from Princeton University.  His teaching and research focus on international politics and the politics of energy, both in the United States and abroad.   He is the author of four books and has co-edited two others.  At Georgia State University, he has served on the University Senate, including as chair of the committee on university statutes and senate bylaws, the social and behavioral sciences committee on promotion and tenure, and several other university-wide committees.
