All administrative departments and administrative functions within academic colleges undergo Administrative and Support Unit Review (ASUR) every six years. The review process takes 1 ½ years to complete.
The process begins the spring before the assessment year with orientation and review of the department’s annual assessment plan. The department completes a peer comparison report during the summer in addition to its annual outcomes report. The department’s self-study is completed in the fall, and is reviewed by the ASUR Committee in the winter. After the department receives feedback from the Committee in the spring, it drafts its Action Plan for consideration by the executive leadership of the university.
